El Paso breaks ground on advanced water purification facility

El Paso Water has commenced construction on a cutting-edge Advanced Water Purification Facility.

The facility is set to employ a comprehensive treatment process to convert recycled water into high-quality drinking water, which will be distributed directly to customers.

Once operational, the plant is expected to supply up to 10 million gallons per day of safe, reliable, and sustainable water.

The project is slated for completion by 2028.

The groundbreaking will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
