GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Demolition of the vacant Big Boy restaurant on Pearl Street NW — needed to clear the way for construction of Amway Stadium — could start in mid-April.

Since last month, construction equipment has been parked near the restaurant, which is located at the corner of Pearl Street and Summer Avenue and sits within the nearly 8-acre footprint of the 8,500-person stadium.
